Another trip to Chapel Hill. My husband knows all the good spots to eat and he knows I love sushi. So today he decided to take me here. Love love love it. We got the Wonton Ramen, The Sushi Burrito the Tempura Box. Drinks, Sake Bomb, Mango Marg, Sake Sangria and Sunset at 9. Enjoyed every bit of it. The waiter was amazing and was patient and understanding. Would definitely recommend to anyone who loves sushi. The best part they have buy one get one free sushi….. Definitely our type of place. Please check it out when you are in Chapel Hill.

Been there several times ordered different things. Don’t remember that much. But this time i really love what I ordered: appetizer mix, called spicy 9 sampler. This is a great idea for people who want to try many things but have limited belly😂😂😂

🍱The food at Spicy 9 was great, and our server was wonderful. The sushi was fresh and delicious. Unfortunately, our experience started off poorly. The hostess was cold and unwelcoming. After requesting a booth because I recently had surgery, we were seated in a dark corner booth where the A/C unit above us was dripping condensation onto me, the table, and the seat. When we asked to move, the hostess said "OK," rolled her eyes, and walked away, leaving us to find our own table. The restroom was also dirty, and the music was extremely loud. 🍣The food and our server were the highlights of our visit, but the front-of-house service and overall upkeep need improvement.

Stopped by for dinner and watched the UNC vs Duke game. Atmosphere and vibe was awesome, even though I went to NC State and was just there for dinner. The food was amazing as well, I got the ramen and the broth and noodles were fantastic. Their sushi was really good and dessert options were limited but delicious. The staff were also excellent and really made the whole experience super enjoyable. Overall, great dining experience and I noticed all the UNC fans there really enjoyed cheering on their team in a nice environment.

Stopped here for dinner on our daughter’s recommendation before heading home after her 1st semester in Chapel Hill. I can see why she loves coming here with her friends - generous portions, excellent food, and reasonable prices. The salmon sashimi was much better than I expected at the price point, as I usually have to pay about more for that quality. It’s crowded, as one would expect at a college town restaurant, but not too loud or cramped. Overall, well worth a stop if you’re in town and like sushi.
